Hand tattooing ink onto wood — Locally Hated 01915

The name isn't a complaint. It's a badge.

Locally Hated

01915

01915 is a zip code. Lynn, Massachusetts. A city that's been written off, talked down to, and underestimated for as long as anyone can remember. Locally Hated is what happens when you stop waiting for permission and start building anyway.

Every piece starts with something discarded — a dresser someone left on a curb, a chair pulled from a dumpster, a table that had one more life left in it. We strip it back, prep the surface, and tattoo it by hand. Ink on wood. The same way a tattoo artist works skin.

This isn't mass production. There's no factory, no team, no algorithm deciding what sells. It's one person, one piece, one session at a time. When it's done, it's done. There won't be another one exactly like it.

Why furniture.

Tattoos are permanent. So is furniture — or it should be. We got tired of disposable everything. Tired of flat-pack culture and pieces built to be replaced. Furniture should outlive the person who bought it. Ours will.

One of one

Every piece is unique. No reproductions, no editions, no copies.

Hand done

Every line is drawn by hand. No stencils, no shortcuts, no transfers.

Built to last

Upcycled doesn't mean fragile. We restore before we tattoo.

If you found this, you already know if it's for you.
